Philippines Travel FAQs

For a first Philippines trip, Palawan is a great start for island scenery, Boracay is best for easy beach days, and Cebu is ideal if you want a mix of city access and adventure activities.
A solid first trip is 7 to 10 days. That usually gives you enough time for 2 destinations without rushing and a buffer day for transport or weather changes.
December to May is generally the easiest season for beach and island trips. June to October can still be good for budget travel, but rain and sea conditions are less predictable.
A budget trip runs around ₱2,000–3,500 per person per day covering accommodation, food, and local transport. Mid-range is closer to ₱5,000–8,000/day. Flights between islands are typically ₱1,500–4,000 one way if booked in advance.
Most nationalities get a 30-day visa-free stay on arrival. You just need a passport valid for at least 6 months and a return or onward ticket. Extensions up to 36 months are available through the Bureau of Immigration. Don't forget to fill out the eTravel QR code form before your flight — it's required for entry.
